Freshman Hub thumbnail

Becoming a Freshman in high school can be both an exciting and daunting experience. The hallways seem endless, filled with a sea of unfamiliar faces, each person on their own unique journey. Your schedule is a maze of new classes, and finding your way can feel like navigating uncharted territory. Yet, amidst the uncertainty, there's a sense of anticipation and possibility.

New friendships are waiting to be formed, and old ones are strengthened in the shared experiences of this new chapter. The clubs, sports teams, and extracurricular activities offer a chance to explore interests and discover passions you never knew you had. Teachers become mentors and guides, helping you to unlock your potential and prepare for the future.

Every day brings a fresh opportunity to learn, grow, and define who you are. Embrace the challenge with an open heart and a curious mind, and you'll find that high school is not just a stepping stone, but a memorable and transformative journey.

First Day Metal Detector Information

Key reminders for building entry:
*Doors open at 6:55 AM.

**Have your ID on and around your neck to show staff as you enter the building.

We have 3 morning entrances:

  • The front of the school.
  • The bus entrance (this is for bus riders ONLY).
  • The auditorium entrance (this closes at 7:10 AM sharp!).

All metal that will set off the metal detectors needs to be removed prior to approaching the detectors:

  • ALL bags must pass through the metal detectors.
  • This includes small pencil pouches and make-up bags. Students must remove the metal items and pass the bag through the metal detector.
  • Bags must be emptied if they cannot pass through the detectors.
  • All outerwear must pass through the detectors. No blankets permitted!

It is encouraged that all students prepare before coming to school:

  • Do your clothes have unnecessary metal on them (such as large amount of metal clasps/zippers/buttons)?
  • Does your backpack/bag have metal built into it (such as a charger or lock)?
    • Bags must be emptied if they cannot pass through the detectors.
