The Santa Fe Texas Education Foundation's Kick for College or Career Scholarship Contest gives eligible Santa Fe High School seniors the opportunity to compete for scholarship funds to support their post-high school college or career goals—all under the Friday night lights!

Who Can Enter?

  • Current Class of 2027 seniors attending Santa Fe High School.
  • Students must have been officially classified as a senior by Friday, August 14, 2026.

How It Works

  • Submit your entry before the October 9 deadline.
  • Scholarship contestants are randomly selected from all eligible entries.
  • Selected students will participate during a designated Santa Fe High School varsity football game.
  • Each student receives two attempts to kick a field goal.
  • Make the field goal: Receive a $1,000 scholarship toward your college or career education.
  • Miss the field goal: You'll still receive a $500 scholarship simply for participating!

Scholarship funds are paid directly to the winner's accredited college, university, or certified trade school in the United States to be used for tuition and/or books for the Fall 2027 semester. Winners must enroll in Fall 2027 to receive their scholarship.

How Winners Are Selected

Scholarship contestants are randomly drawn from all valid entries by the Santa Fe Texas Education Foundation Executive Director alongside a previous student kicker. Selection is not based on GPA, financial need, athletic ability, or demographic criteria. Odds of being selected depend on the total number of eligible entries received.
